Education

The Town of Kwinana is aware of the need to up skill its community to meet the opportunities as they arise. A key part of this process is the development of strong educational options (at primary, secondary and tertiary levels), and the encouragement of continued skilling of the community.

Initiatives that will aid in the achievement of these goals are:

  • Development of a new TAFE Automotive Centre of Excellence (anticipated to be the most technologically advanced motor trades institute in WA)

  • Development of a new $45 million high school - Gilmore College - comprising state-of-the-art design and technology

  • Peter Carnely Anglican College - a multi million dollar Anglican college on the southern boundary of the town centre.

  • Plus a wide array of new schools at primary and secondary level planned throughout the Town.

The development of a new $12 million knowledge centre and community resource centre will strongly enhance the educational opportunities in our Town. This will be a leading edge facility comprising library, community meeting and non government office spaces, and life long learning programs, all designed to provide the highest level of services and opportunities to our community.
